Tuesday
This week we started our day with a combination class of Numeracy and Robotics!We created balloon painted clocks. Each child built their own working clock to be able to continue their telling time skills at home. Phonics focused on the -ELL word ending and as a class came up with a long list of words with that ending. Everyone filled in a seashell with ell ending words and colored as they chose!
Wednesday
This week in cooking class we baked Blackberry Chocolate Chip cookies that changed from purple to blue-grey.! It was a tasty class that turned into a mini science experiment as we learned how a chemical reaction with the baking soda and blackberries turn the dough blue naturally.
Botany/Gardening class this week was also a fun one as we made our own lemon balm and peppermint infused lip balm! As a class beforehand, we talked a bit about some garden herbs and discussed in more depth the usage and importance of the herbs Lemon Balm and Peppermint that were used in our lip balm.
