Tuesday

Phonics-This week we dove into our first short "e" word ending- ET. As a class we came up with a list of words ending in et and created jet planes. Each plane had et ending words written on the flames for practice spelling and writing.

Robotics- This week we started working on our highly anticipated milk jug igloo! Everyone took part in putting together sets of 4 jugs to be able to piece together our large igloo! It is a work in progress.

Numeracy- Each student made number flashcards for 1-20 including both numeric form and the actual word for each number!

Wednesday

Cooking- The class made delicious lemon-blueberry muffins with fresh blueberries and squeezed lemon juice!

Gardening/Botany- Progress continued on our igloo, however we need more milk jugs! (Please save plastic jugs for us)!! We did an outdoor lesson on parts of a plant and even looked at some of the daffodils in the garden! Most students took their time in drawing their own daffodils before becoming pollinators. While touching and examining the inside of the flowers, students quickly realized they had pollen on their fingers! The class had so much fun transferring pollen from one daffodil to the next.
