Semester 3| Week 5| Kindergarten

Tuesday


Robotics- This week the class took on the STEM challenge of creating a popsicle stick LED flashlight. With the use of a popsicle stick, LED light, coin cell battery, and copper tape, everyone was able to create a flashlight that turned on and off with the use of a binder clip!

Phonics- This week our focus was on -EN ending words. As a class we came up with a list of words ending in EN and created a hen project with EN ending eggs in her nest! 

Numeracy- The class created their own set of addition practice cards to help with practice at home and on the go! Everyone had to cut out and match up the front and back pieces by doing the addition problems and matching the cards with the answers that matched both front and back.





Wednesday


Cooking- This week's cooking class took on their favorite goldfish snack and made their own homemade version with multiple shapes! They were a class hit with minimal ingredients.

Gardening/Botany- Digging up the overgrown greenhouse in preparation for herb planting was our goal this week! Everyone took turns ripping out weeds, digging up roots, and clearing the space with their hands and shovel/plow tools. We were also able to get some chamomile, parsley, oregano and basil planted!
